JOB TITLE: Activity Coordinator
RESPONSIBLE TO: Deputy Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR: N/A
HOURS PER WEEK: 0 hours Initially – working towards contracted hours
SALARY: £11.89 per hour – plus expenses

MAIN ROLE
• To provide direct support to all Time Out membership enabling our members to make informed choices, gain greater independence and take control over their lives and enjoyment. You will be required to join in on all our activities and encourage member participation.
AREAS OF WORK, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main responsibilities and duties
To work as a full and effective member of Time Out Group
1. Treat each member as an individual respecting both privacy and dignity and contribute to high standards of quality and support.
2. Talking to our members about the types of activities they’d like to do and putting that in to action with the Senior Activity Coordinator.
3. Support the Senior Activity Coordinator with planning and organising activities that are tailored to the needs and abilities of individuals, as well as group activities that will bring individuals together. Using your life experience to assist members in making meaningful decisions.
4. Play and active role in the team and be seen as a role model for our volunteers and members.
5. Taking part in all team meetings and offer meaningful contribution to ideas for the charity in particular the activities we run.
6. Contributing to trips out in the local community, considering transport arrangements and accessibility.
7. Assisting people to take part in activities wherever possible. This could be on a sports session, in the community or on an in-house activity at our permanent premises in Handforth.
8. To maintain a broad understanding of the work of Time Out Group as a whole, and actively contribute your ideas for the improvement of service provision.
9. To ensure your own actions contribute to the maintenance of a quality service provision and values.
10. To be responsible for the self-development of skills and competencies through participation in training and development activities and to maintain up to date technical and professional knowledge relevant to the post.
11. Attendance at team meetings and our annual general meeting and contribute effectively where needed.
12. To develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
13. To adhere to all Time Out Groups policies and procedures.
