Time Out Group (North West) has been working in the Wilmslow and Macclesfield areas of Cheshire for over 15 years. It has from the beginning been a members’ led organisation and has therefore developed in line with the interests and needs of its membership – adults with learning disabilities.
Each year more adults with learning disabilities contribute to improving lives with the support of Time Out Group. Together we work for greater independence, so that our members have a bigger say in what happens in their lives and increased opportunities.

We’re still a small charity with little long-term funding. We need people to support us, join us, raise money and become a part of progress for our members who give so much to being part of the change we all want to see in the world.

There’s a lot we want to tell you about so please have a look through this website and keep in touch; you can see us on Facebook and Twitter and we are always happy to welcome visitors. We look forward to seeing you.

** Important notice**

We were trying to hold on closing all TOG activities until the government announced their measures and advice.

It is with a heavy heart that we will have to close all TOG activities from tomorrow (17th March) for 30 days to ensure the safety of all members, staff and volunteers. Our UK PM and his government has recommended all those that are vulnerable, have a long term condition or elderly/frail to avoid all unnecessary social contact, whether this be in pubs, theaters or premises.

All drop in sessions, sports and social events will be cancelled for 30 days or until the government announce any different.

We will look in to innovative ways we can keep in contact with members such as Skype parties etc.

For now please bare with us and we will keep you posted!!

Please share this post as wide as possible.

Stay safe x

We wanted to give you an update on the likelihood of when TOG services could be up and running again.

As the developments of the Corona virus changes on a day to day basis we felt a few weeks ago that shutting our services for 30 days was the right thing to do to protect members and staff.

The government has asked that all vulnerable, frail and those with specific conditions to self isolate for a period of 12 weeks. We are also currently on a rightful government lock down requesting that all non essential services to be closed. With all this in mind we are expecting TOG services/activities as you know them to be closed for a period of 12 weeks in total, taking us to approximately mid June.

This is the safe amount of time required for our members and staff to be shielded from any risks.

We will of course be following the government advice over the coming months and if they do start to lift restrictions we can re-evaluate what that means for TOG and possibly return earlier than mid June. We will only to get this point however by everyone playing their part in the fight against this virus. Staying in, protecting our wonderful NHS does really save lives and will help us to recover better as a country.

Believe us when we say this is the last thing we want to do. The team and trustees love nothing more than providing our activities and we all miss you terribly. However this is vital in protecting everyone in the long run.

So to confirm we will be closed in our traditional services/activities until mid June or further notice.

Having said all of this it doesn’t stop us communicating and thinking outside of the box. In the coming Thursday’s we will be trying our first Facebook party for members to join and have a chat with each other and staff. We are also going to set up regular phone calls with our members and sending out information and activity packs through the post for those who want them.

If any one has and concerns or ideas for how we can deliver our services in a different way then please do drop us a message on our Facebook page. We’d love to hear from you.

Stay in and of course wash your hands 👌🏻

TOG xxx

Although our drop-in is currently closed, TOG is working virtually with its members. Visit our Facebook page or email admin@timeoutgroup.org.uk for details on how to join in!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, wonderful.org will no longer be associated with Time Out Group. Please do not donate via this page while we sort out a new portal. Thankyou for your continued support.
